Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu to attend the 5th Friends of the Paris Agreement High Level Dialogue

Singapore, 25 September 2023 – Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms Grace Fu, will participate in the 5th Friends of the Paris Agreement High Level Dialogue (FOPA HLD) in Beijing, China, from 26 to 27 September 2023.

2 Co-convened by China’s Special Envoy for Climate Change Xie Zhenhua and CEO of European Climate Foundation Laurence Tubiana, the FOPA brings together key leaders on climate issues who played a prominent role in the conclusion of the Paris Agreement to discuss ways to advance its implementation. Participants will also discuss energy transition, climate finance, and other actions needed for a successful COP-28 outcome in Dubai, UAE, in December 2023.

3 Minister Fu will also have bilateral meetings with Chinese counterparts, including Special Envoy Xie, Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu, Minister of Water Resources Li Guoying, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Ni Hong, and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Tang Renjian.

4 Minister Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, the National Environment Agency, Singapore Food Agency, and PUB (Singapore’s National Water Agency).
