Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment Dr Koh Poh Koon to attend the Petersberg Climate Dialogue 2023

Singapore, 1 May 2023 – Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Sustainability and the Environment, will attend the Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD) 2023, in Berlin, Germany, from 1 to 3 May 2023.

2 Singapore’s participation in the PCD 2023 is at the joint invitation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) COP-28 President Designate Dr Sultan Al Jaber and German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock. At PCD 2023, invited Ministers and representatives from a select group of countries will inter alia discuss reform of the global financial architecture, policy responses to the impacts of the climate crisis, actions needed to keep the 1.5°C global warming limit within reach in this critical decade, and just transition pathways to a net-zero future.

3 SMS Dr Koh will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, and the National Climate Change Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office.
