Nominations for the IPCC
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations’ body for assessing the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and options for mitigation and adaptation. IPCC assessments provide a scientific basis for governments to develop climate-related policies and contribute to global climate action under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Singapore has been invited to nominate experts to participate in a Scoping Meeting to draft the outline for Methodology Report on the IPCC Methodology Report on the CDR Technologies and CCUS, which is tentatively scheduled for the second half of October 2024. The venue will be confirmed shortly, which will be updated at the IPCC website. The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, as the IPCC Focal Point for Singapore, is shortlisting experts for Singapore’s nominations, for submission to the IPCC Secretariat. The nominations will be subject to a further selection process by the IPCC.
The call for nominations for the Scoping Meeting is currently open. Should you wish to nominate experts in your organisation to participate in the Scoping Meeting, download the nomination template here. Please fill in the form for each nomination by 12 July 2024:
