Year of Climate Action Appreciation Lunch
The Year of Climate Action saw over 800 climate action initiatives organised by the 3P (People, Private, and Public) sectors, and over 300,000 Climate Action pledges. At the appreciation lunch held on 28 November 2018, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, spoke on the need to sustain this momentum and maintain a ‘climate action mindset’.
ASEAN and Climate Change

Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Cooperation
Singapore’s Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on environmental cooperation on 12 November 2018. Under the new MoU, Singapore and China will work together in five areas, including the development of circular economies, and boosting environmental technology research and innovation.
Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Cooperation
Singapore and the Netherlands signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation on environmental and water management on 21 November 2018. Under the MoU, both countries will exchange knowledge and expertise in four areas: integrated water resource management; circular economy; climate change; and pollution prevention and control.
