Ms Mariam Jaafar : To ask the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) for the past three months, what is the number of instances of non-compliance with regulatory noise limits detected by noise meters installed at the HDB BTO construction sites in Woodlands; (b) what is the breakdown by projects; and (b) what penalties have been imposed.
Answer:
- From October to December 2021, the National Environment Agency received 15 instances of feedback on construction noise from Housing Development Board Build-to-Order projects in Woodlands. Aside from one project for which investigations are ongoing, there were no instances of non-compliance with the permissible noise limits recorded by noise meters installed.
