Question :
*3088. Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye: To ask the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) whether the Ministry can provide an update on the number of littering offences in the first half of 2022; and (b) whether there has been an increase in the number of littering offences as compared to the first half of 2021.
Answer:
From 1 January to 31 May 2021, the National Environment Agency carried out enforcement actions on around 7,400 cases of littering. In the same period in 2022, there were around 7,800 cases.
