Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu to attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

1 Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu will be travelling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from 16 to 18 January 2022, to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week at the invitation of UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Almheiri. Minister Fu will also be attending the Zayed Sustainability Prize Award, where Singaporean company Wateroam has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Water’ category.

2 During the trip, Minister Fu will be meeting UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Climate Change Special Envoy Dr Sultan Al Jaber and Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam Almheiri. Minister Fu will also meet Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy Awaidha Murshed Al Marar as well as Managing Director & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Saeed Mohammed Ahmad Al Tayer. Minister Fu and her counterparts will discuss ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual importance to both countries, such as food and water security, and climate action.

3 Minister Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, PUB, Singapore Food Agency, and the National Climate Change Secretariat.
